Pen tool - constantly buggy in Photoshop on Windows 10

Ok so for months and months now i've been having a huge problem with the pen tool. I've attached an image which should give you an example of what i'm talking about, the problems are circled in red, other than the obvious "slicing" of the image as I scroll up and down.

First issue is that when I click to drop an anchor point, it isn't visible on my screen. I can't see where im plotting.

Secondly, when I do manage to guess where im working, it adds in extra curves which becomes really confusing.

Finally, when I scroll up and down, the image seperates itself, and then when I "run out" of available screen space, it wont allow me to see anymore of the image.

The only way I can resolve this temporarily, is by saving the file, closing it and reopening it.

It's so frustrating, is anyone else having the same problem or am I doing something wrong?!

TIA

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop while using the Pen tool. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using? If you haven't updated Photoshop to the latest version (22.5) ye, try updating the app to check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, try enabling the option to Deactivate Native Canvas from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Technology Previews. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if it helps.

You can also try disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check how it goes.

Regards,

Nikunj
