Persistent Artboard Copying Freezes in Recent Photoshop Versions: Seeking Expert Explanation
Dear Adobe Community (and especially qualified developers or support engineers),
I'm experiencing severe performance issues in the latest Photoshop versions when copying or moving artboards: the application hangs for several minutes, followed by a "MOVE" process dialog that disrupts workflow entirely. This renders basic operations unreliable, and I'm now hesitant to use the feature for fear of file corruption.
In Photoshop 2018, the exact same function worked flawlessly—100x smoother, with no freezes, no dialogs, and instantaneous results. Why has this regressed so dramatically in newer releases, despite ongoing updates? What specific changes (e.g., in rendering engine, memory management, or UI handling) caused this, and why hasn't it been addressed?
Could someone qualified from Adobe please provide a detailed, credible response? Your users deserve transparency on this ongoing problem.
I DON'T WANT YOUR HELP—IT NEVER SOLVES THE ISSUE. I ONLY WANT TO KNOW WHY THIS HAPPENED.
Thank you.
