Photoshop 2020 how to install/update

The version of Photoshop that opens is Photoshop CC 2019- can someone explain how I get to Photoshop 2020?

Launch Creative Cloud, mine is located in "Launchpad". On the main menu for Creative Cloud along the top of the screen, not the window, look for "Help", (it follows File Edit Window), select "Help" then click on "Check for updates". 

You should then get 20 updates or so. Hope that helps.

Everything is listed as up to date. Im still not at Photoshop 2020. Appreciate continued help.

When I installed 2020, all my file associations were imported so that any graphics files opened there. why that didn't work, I don't know. Look at your Creative cloud desktop app, the same one you used to install 2020. If clicking the Open button launches it, you are good. Next Cmd-i on any file you want to open there, and in that dialog choose 2020 (v21) from the dropdown menu and click "Change All". That should get you started.
