Photoshop 2025 Issue

Well, I wish I could report a smooth transition, however, I can't get past the opening screen on my 2017 iMac Pro running Ventura w/32gb RAM.  All other software, LR and LrC runs smoothly.  All Adobe Software is running just fine on my Macbook Air.  I am wondering if my Photoshop Elements 2022 on the Mac could be the culprit?  Having said that, I am blown away at what is in these packages and I have not even begun to put them through their paces, just a couple edits with the presets in LR.  Perhaps, the information below will help:

Model: iMac18,3, BootROM 529.140.2.0.0, 4 processors, Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 3.4 GHz, 32 GB, SMC 2.41f2
Graphics: Radeon Pro 570, Radeon Pro 570, PCIe, 4 GB
Display: iMac, Retina 5K (5120 x 2880), Main, MirrorOff, Online

The problem was that I needed to install ON1 Resize 2023 and after doing that, Photoshop 2026 opened up letting me know Adobe recommended us with the latest MacOS, of course.  I can always use the MacBook Air should I ever need to use Photoshop or go to the Web Version.  I prefer to use Lightroom Classic and Elements for most of my work.  Thanks for the help.  Now to get down to the business of learning the software again.

Ok, after trying everything from Mr. Traynor's reply, still not loading Photoshop 2026 without crashing immediately.  So, for the time being, I will move my photo processing to my MacBook Air, after I reboot my iMac and run in the Administrator Account.  My Account has Admin Rights, but, there might be something stopping it from functioning properly.  Here is the crash report that shows where it immediately terminates.  I did have the virus software disabled at the time.

I believe I found the problem.  There are several Photoshop Folders in that directory, Photoshop 2023 which was probably a former subscription I had, which is probably conflicting with the current installation.  I will copy that off to the desktop, check to see if 2025 runs and then put the 2023 in the trash, deleting that.

@richardr72162863 the most recent version of Photoshop is 26.2 (2025), have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset
