Photoshop 2025 Perspective Warp crashes when switching to 'Warp'

Happens on my 4090 RTX, with 300 GB free in my Local Disk C / Scratch disks.

It also occurs on the 2024 version of Photoshop.

The image I'm working on is just HD 1920x1080, and the smart object I'm perspective warping is only 2000x2000 pixels.

Hey, @TSF404100. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

I couldn't find crash reports submitted with the account you've signed in to the community with. If you see a crash dialogue, submit it with your Adobe ID. Check here for more steps: https://adobe.ly/3Wpjx0B

Try these steps to get Photoshop to behave as expected:

  • Do you use any plugins? If yes, try and hold the SHIFT key when launching Photoshop to skip loading any plugins.
  • Try booting the Windows device in Safe Mode with networking to check how Photoshop behaves: https://adobe.ly/43BzvZ3

Has this started to happen since the recent update? Please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Sameer K
