Photoshop 2026 – Generative AI shows connection error even with active subscription

Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded to Photoshop 2026 and decided to switch to an official Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, which is active and fully paid.
I’m logged into my Adobe account correctly, and my computer is connected to the internet without any issues.

However, when I try to use Generative Fill / Generative AI features, Photoshop shows errors like:

  • “Connection error”

  • “This service is currently unavailable”

It behaves as if Photoshop is not properly connected to Adobe servers, even though everything appears to be online and authenticated.

Before this, I was using Photoshop 2025, and now after installing the official 2026 version through Creative Cloud, the problem persists only with Generative AI features.

I’ve already checked:

  • Internet connection (working normally)

  • Adobe account login (active subscription)

  • Photoshop is updated to the latest version

Is there something that needs to be cleaned, reset, or revalidated (licenses, cache, hosts file, old installations, etc.) so Photoshop can properly connect to Adobe’s Generative AI services?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

@jhon_6037 sounds like something is being blocked. In this case, use the Adobe Limited Access repair Tooldesigned to fix connectivity issues between your computer and Adobe’s servers. It is essentially a "cleaner" for your system's network configuration, specifically targeting blocks that prevent official Adobe apps from authenticating or accessing cloud services like Generative Fill. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-limited-access-repair-tool.html
