Photoshop 2026 not saving preferences AND locks up the brush panel every time I load or manage brush folders.

Neither one…  I just kept uninstalling 2026 version and going backward until I got to a version that works…  Same brushes.. same everything..  different version of Photoshop…  27.5 seems to be working fine…  

I just uninstalled backward until I got to the last version that worked correctly..  27.5 works without freezing so I’ll just stay there…   

Oh.. I did get the preference saving issue fixed.. it’s just the brush panel freezing the interface.  At this point I’ll have to drop back to 2025 to get my courses built until this is resolved.  

Have reset preferences. Works for one iterations, but once I load new brushes, that panel freezes again. Have reinstalled. No change. Video driver current. Have tested performance settings on graphics. No help.
