Hello, Im creating product detail pages and trying to save it by Save for Web.

I know that Height limit is 8192 px,

so I used slice tool and the longest dimension is 860*7321px

However, I still cannot save with 100% image size and it automatically downsize the image.

27.32% and the weight becomesw 235px, which is too small for the image size I want.

how can I fix this problem?

    Correct answer Stephen Marsh

@jazz-y wrote a different script to save slices as PSD.

The resulting files can be batch converted to another format, or the script can be changed to directly save in another format.

Can  you make a .psd file to the exact dimensions  you need and then add each separate image individually?

You can use a script to work with the slices, but bypass using Save for Web. Let me search up the forum links for you…

Look for the slices to layers script from @jazz-y here:

The 8192 pixel limit in Save For Web is absolute and no way around it.

Not sure how Export will handle it, try that.

Save For Web is very old code (built on the ancient ImageReady code), and it was supposed to be replaced by the newer Export module. Now, Export is still, after all these years, unfinished and lacking some core features, so in the meantime we just have to find practical solutions between them.

What is certain is that Save For Web will never be updated. It is what it is, and, given the Export shortcomings, we’re just gratefull it’s still around.
