Question

Photoshop 23 is non functional.

I can open the app, but cannot create a new file, nor open an existing file or graphic. I'm weary of waiting, waiting, waiting for Photoshop help. If I decide to remove the program and reinstall, what would be the implications for my existing payment contract?

Backup actions, presets etc. Also, consider using the cleaner software:

Uninstalling does not release you from your contract — there is a fee for early cancellation.

  • Was this working before and just started? If so, did you do anything new about the time it started?
  • Have you tried resetting preferences?

    (Backup customization first)
  • Did you just start a subscription (you have 14 days to cancel a new subscription)
  • Does an earlier version of Photoshop work on your current system?

Go to Help > About > Copy, then Paste into a Reply window in this thread. It's a very long text file.

How did you get on Wayne?  Have you reinstalled, and if yes is Photoshop working?

We can see you are using a Windows system.  If you are still having trouble, can you describe your system for us?  Thanks.

No problem, just reinstall.
