Photoshop 25.3.1 leaves windows hanging

Every now and then when I process images or do batch work, Photoshop will leave windows hanging. I have to restart Photoshop to get rid of it. Any fix for this?

Presumably, you've tried resetting the Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults.
