Photoshop 25.4 update, All PSD files have blank work area

You would think that after 20-odd years of using Adobe products professionally, I would have learned by now to NOT download the latest updates. They are always bug-ridden, workflow-breaking updates that have clearly not been tested enough for commercial release. Thankfully I can download previous versions because this one takes the cake for the most useless update ever.

Useless because you've somehow managed to make every single PSD file I open to be a blank canvas. The layers are there, the artboards are there, but the work area is completely blank. How are you supposed to edit an image when you can't see what you are working on? I mean I've got a pretty creative imagination, but it has its limits.

System deets if any of the Adobe staff can put down their margaritas and cigars for 5 minutes to assist:

Photoshop 25.4

Mac OS Ventura 13.2

3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7

AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB

Hi Sameer, thanks for replying, but I've already reverted back to a previous version, one that actually works. I'm part of a busy creative studio and unfortunately don't have time to problem-solve buggy apps, we have client work that needs to be done.

If I have time later I will reinstall and post the system info and a screen capture.

Hey, @Dave MP. Thanks for sharing the details. I'll need more specific info about this, and I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Does this happen when you create a new file or a specific range of PSD files? Have you tried toggling the layer visibility?

Please share a video of the behavior here or via PM, along with the system info.

P.S. If possible, check if updating the macOS helps.

Thanks!
