photoshop 26.11 stuck at 99% when saving

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue, since the 26.11 update photoshop has been getting stuck at 99% when saving files, sometimes for up to 10 minutes, before finally successfully saving. It has been happening to every file I open regardless of the file size but of course larger files will be stuck for a much longer period of time. I dont save any of my files to my physical desktop, but rather a share drive that is shared with the company I work for, and as far as I am aware there is no limit I have reached, there should be plenty of memory so I dont believe that is the issue, and I am using windows 11.

I have tried the following remedies below but nothing has worked:

-purged the cache

-disabled automatic PSD compression of files

-increased the amount of RAM allowed for photoshop to use

-saved file as large doc format (PSB) instead of regular PSD file

-reset all preferences

-uninstalled and re-installed several times

-reverted to previous photoshop versions

-restarted desktop

please if anyone has any suggestions for what else I can try or can direct this to the bug fixers so that they are aware of this, that would be amazing.

Directly saving to external storage, and/or over a network connection, is unsupported and officially not recommended. It works until one day it doesn't.

Save to local drive, then copy over. Read this carefully:

Mam dokładnie ten sam problem, najpierw był w Photoshopie Beta 27.1, a teraz w Photoshopie 27.0

I don't use any file synchronization or services like Sharepoint/OneDrive

Hello,

Just giving an update, so it turns out that the culprit seems to be my internet connection when working from home! I initially had this problem whether I was working remote or in the office, but recently it has only been happening when I am remote so I spoke with the company IT department and they advised me to either try to position myself closer to my router, or try plugging an ethernet cable directly into my router at home and that has resolved the issue as far as I can tell. I have only needed to plug it in for one day, and since then the save time has back to normal, thank goodness.

Thank you for the advise about the network, while I do understand that photoshop isn't optimized to work as seamlessly with external networks, I unfortunately don't really have a choice in this case lol but I will of course keep all info received in mind for the future, and hopefully if anyone else is having this problem, this can be helpful to them.

You do have a choice: save the file to local disk, then send the finished and saved file over the network.

Directly saving over a network is still not supported and not recommended. It may or may not work, but not necessarily consistently, and the risk of file corruption is still very high.

I appreciate the concerns, truly. Unfortunately I work on so many individual files that are almost always in various states of revisions needed that it is just not feasible for me to incorporate that step, especially when taking into account linked assets, which would also have to be copied over back and forth in order for the artwork to load in properly. I have been working over the company network for over 10 years now, and this is the first issue that has come up regarding the network connection, and in the end it was my actual internet connection rather than anything to do with photoshop itself. Thank you again for the advise, hopefully this will be somethign Adobe can address somehow in the future but until then I'll have to keep at it lol

@jasminet88 the root issue is the write back from PS is being interrupted by the syncing functions of a shared service like Sharepoint/OneDrive. Save local outside of that location then drag there.

thanks for replying, I guess I'm just confused because I've never had this problem before when saving directly to our sharedrive, and at the moment I'm not having the same issue with any other adobe program (fingers crossed it doesnt crop up there too). Is there anything I can do to possibly reset the connection between photoshop and the network? I work with several files and mutiple projects per day as a graphic designer and having to move files back and forth between my desktop and the shardrive would heavily distrupt my workflow, and I can't switch to working on my desktop exclusively since I have thousands and thousands of files on the sharedrive at this point, it would be impossible to move them all to one computer and to be able to work as efficiently.
