Photoshop 26.3 won't open

Hi, I'm using Photoshop 26.3 on Windows 11.

It's not the first time that I'm using Photoshop 26.3 but this morning it just didn't want to open. I clicked the icon on the taskbar and the icon on the desktop and it wouldn't open.

The weird thing is that when I tried to downgrade to 26.1, it said I had to close Photoshop first BUT when I checked in the task manager, Photoshop was not listed as running.

So I had to restart my computer and downgrade to 26.1 before clicking any photoshop icon.

Back to 26.1, I could now open Photoshop.
Thank you for exploring what went wrong.

@jeromea13244388 preferences can sometimes get corrupt and resetting them can sometimes fix erratic behaviour with Photoshop

@Ged_TraynorThe weird thing is that it opened before... I don't think I changed my preferences between yesterdays and today.

@jeromea13244388 normally when things don't work as expected with Photoshop, the first thing to try is a preference reset

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset
