Photoshop 26.4.1 - Items from the UI are disappearing.

In the last few weeks I've noticed that when I open Photoshop some of the UI is gone.

It's not always the same items and the problem comes and goes.

It occurs most when I open a blank Photoshop and least when I open a psd file that launches Photoshop.

But it does occur in both scenarions.

Items that have not been there when I opened Photoshop.

The buttons on the Toolbar (Eraser, pencil etc)

The Home view

The contents of File New tabs e.g. A4 Paper.  Regardsless of usinbg the new or legacy interface.

What is causing this?

One possibility is corrupt preferences. Reset them manually by renaming the preferences file. When you relaunch, Photoshop will create a new one and you can get the old one back if needed. Back up customization first, of course.
