photoshop 27.10.0 crop tool - where has the commit current crop operation tick disappeared to

Seems to commit the crop soon as you click away from it to another tool so if you dont want to crop it you have to hit escape, I prefer the yes/no tick symbols in the tool bar myself to commit the crop. There is plenty of room why have they hidden the symbols? I use a wacom tablet, the keyboard isnt a massive part of my workflow to be honest, its all done on shortcuts on the wacom tablet or by clicking with the pointer.

Where did you find that “hide AI assisted” button?   

They actually made it even easier in recent versions after adding the Contextual Task Bar, as shown in the demo below. The Done button in the Contextual Task Bar solves the problem where the tick mark can get cut off if a display gets below the recommended display resolution, or if somebody made their Photoshop window narrower. The tick mark getting cut off was a problem even before they added the AI Assistant in the public beta version which you are using.

Fortunately, there are actually four ways to commit a crop or transform mode, and you should keep all four in mind:

• Click the tick mark. You know this one already.
• Press Enter. You know this one too.
• If there is enough room outside the image, move the pointer out until it changes from a rotation icon to the general arrow icon. When it’s an arrow, clicking commits the mode. This is not new, it’s been an option for years. The pointer change is shown in the demo below.
• And here’s the newest one: If the Contextual Task Bar is displayed, click the Done button. This is better than the tick mark because there is usually room to see that Done button even if the tick mark is cut off.

So the Done button can always be available. That is the method I finally use to commit the crop in the demo below.
