Photoshop 27.11 crashes when using object selection tool

Using Photoshop 27.11 on Windows 11, selecting the Object Selection Tool, or sometimes when using the Object Selection Tool, Photoshop will occasionally crash or lockup, sometimes requiring a system shutdown to end the Photoshop task. Unchecking Object Finder, Object Subtract, and Find People Details (under the gear icon) seems to have helped. Resetting Photoshop preferences made no difference. GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.

    Since you mentioned an RTX 2060, have you tested it with the GPU mode set to Basic under Preferences? If the crashes stop there, it points to a driver issue rather than the app itself.

    Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. Do a clean installation of a Studio Driver (NOT a Game Driver).
