Photoshop 27.8.0 cannot use valid OpenType fonts that work correctly in InDesign
Environment
- Photoshop 27.8.0
- macOS 15.7.7
- Intel Mac
Steps to reproduce
- Install the attached OpenType fonts.
- Open Adobe InDesign.
- Create a text frame using "Lidl Font Pro".
- Copy the text.
- Open Photoshop 27.8.0.
- Paste as editable text or try selecting the same font in Photoshop.
Expected result
The font should work normally, exactly as it does in InDesign.
Actual result
Photoshop displays the error:
"Selected font failed during last operation. If problem persists, please disable the font."
The font is installed correctly, appears in Font Book, works in InDesign, and has no duplicate installations.
Additional information:
The Photoshop font preview also fails for several styles of the same font family.
