Photoshop 7 for Windows 7 crashes after getting scratch disk error message: Could not initialize Photoshop because the scrathch disks are full. I haved internal two drives with lots of room. Any thoughts? Also, is there a link to download the 7.0.1 update for Windows? Thank you.

I was able to resolve this issue by making a small partition. The program is working fine. I thank everyone who replied to my post. I consider this issue solved.

I haved internal two drives with lots of room.

If they're larger than 1TB, it could be that the disks are too big for an almost 20 year old version such as Photoshop 7. It was created when 1 TB was unimaginably large.

The fix is usually to reduce free space below 1 TB or to upgrade Photoshop to a modern version which can handle today's TB hard drives.

Can you give us specific numbers for "lots of room"? And show a screenshot with the sizes? Hold down the Ctrl + Alt keys during app launch.

No, Photoshop 7.1 is no longer available for download. Adobe offers the current version and the one previous.

Jane, thank you. I have two 2TB internal drives on my Win 7 laptop. The C Drive has 1.08TB free of 1.78TB while my E Drive has 761GB free of 1.81TB. The C Drive has a 250GB partition holding Win 10 using Virtual Box. Do you think I could install PS 7 on Win 10? Thank you again
