Photoshop Auto recovery

Adobe please make autorecovery ON the default!! Every time there is an update, or a change, or I just sneeze, the autorecovery turns itself off, and I lose work. I know I can save more often etc... but it is the program crashing that is really the problem.

I have created actions and scripts for my own default settings, which are then automatically set each time Photoshop is launched using the Script Events Manager:
