Photoshop Average Blur Filter Not Working?
Hello everyone, I'm fairly inexperienced in Adobe Photoshop, and want to try and get out of my comfort zone a little. I started work on a irregular polygonal background - a photo of what I've got so far should be linked on this question - following a tutorial I found. Essentially, the gist was that I needed to use the Polygonal Lasso tool to select triangles, then use the Average Blur filter to get a consistent colour. This worked fine, and I got most of a page done, but when I went back the next day to finish the background, this technqiue I had been using had stopped working completely. All of the Blur filters had stopped working, although I only really care about the Average one at the moment, and resetting Preferences, opening and closing the document and the application has done absolutely nothing. I even went to a different device on a different network, and it still didn't work. Has Adobe rolled out a new update that's changed how these filters work, and can anyone recommend a different way to get this background effect? Thank you.
