Photoshop Beta VS Photoshop

Hi, If I'm usung the Photoshop Beta version, do I need to keep the "older" Photoshop as well ? 

Or is it safe to remove it from my computer (to clear disk space).

    If you're so low on space that 2-3 GB makes a difference, you're going to have serious problems with Photoshop in any case. It needs a lot more free space than that, anywhere from 100 GB to 1 TB, depending on file sizes, number of history states and number of open files.

     

    You can also get general system problems. Worst case, it can freeze completely. You should never allow a system drive to fill up more than 60-70 %.

     

    But no, you don't need both installed.

    I can’t understand how the developers of this program fail to realize that thousands of users are frustrated with all the changes and emulations they make to the software. It's frustrating that the options are no longer in the places we originally knew them, and that we’re not allowed to decide where we want them to be. It’s also frustrating to have to open a file and then reopen it in another (Beta) version to continue using functions that were previously in their original place but no longer are.

    What’s even more frustrating is knowing that they’re experimenting with our time—time we pay for, since these subscriptions aren’t free. It’s sad and disheartening that they don’t take into account the people who made their product successful in the first place, back when it was the best and most essential tool for achieving the best final results.

      Looking from Adobe point of view, it's understandable. It's careless and selfishness. Not the developers, the management refuses those things you are talking about. The Photoshop is market leader. So Adobe as well. They do not give a damp, that those many thousands have a problem. Do you believe companies saying ''we care about our customers'' and so on? I stopped years ago believing it, in case of Adobe.  Also the Adobe customer service is a disaster. Just finished with them to finally, after more times asking, cancel a 35 eur plan. First they said they cannot. I called my bank, who said, just the seller, so Adobe, can cancel it. I returned to Adobe, and guess what, they have cancelled it. Even if before they said they cannot. Erik, Adobe it's NOT at all what it seems to be.  They see us dependent on Ps, Ai, In etc. softwares, as they are market leader. Abuse in market leader possition, if we can say so.

        Thanks for your reply.

        I'm actually, not low on space and my softwares works perfectly.

        It's just that I don't like to have unneccesary components. This is what I refered to by clearing disk space... 
        If I don't need it, no reason to have it.

        I just didn't know if the Beta rely on the older version and needs it in the background

          @Theemir 

           

          The beta version will continue introducing new features and new ways of using older features so the beta testers can look for bugs before the released version is released. I wouldn't use it for production, but I do use it for testing and some smaller projects.
