Question

Photoshop brush strokes freezing every couple of seconds

Hey, so I've recently come back to photoshop to try some art on it and whenever I try to draw, my brush strokes almost like skip and freeze? It only happens when I'm using my drawing tablet (Huion Kamvas 22) and not when I use my mouse. I've installed all the drivers, updates and software, but the issue persists. I've tried to draw on Clip Studio Paint and everything works fine, so I'm convinced its a photoshop issue. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop and adobe aswell as getting rid of my preferences, but it doesn't fix it either. Any help would be awesome fr

(I also attached a small video of it happening)

I don't think it is a API issue, but it would be useful to know whether you are using WinTab or Windows Ink?

Is the tablet cordless?  That could definitely be a cause of this sort of intermittant problem.

What other cursor moving devices do you have other than the tablet and mouse?  i.e. Are you using a laptop with a track pad?  If yes, could anything be resting on it?  Come to think of it, is the tablet touch sensitive? i.e. can it use Gestures/

If yes, then try disabling Gestures in Preferences > Tools (if currently enabled).

This page on the Lazy Nezumi Pro site is very good at solving tablet issues.

https://lazynezumi.com/tabletSetup

Use the above link to change to the other API.  i.e. go to WinTab if currently using Windows Ink (in the tablet preferences)

This is what it looks like with Wacom tablets

Please let us know how you get on.
