Question

Photoshop can't find subject for selection

I used the ‘select subject’ a lot, but today Photoshop keeps insisting there is no clear subject to select in this image. I’m using a Mac. Any ideas why this doesn’t work?

Hey, @ellenm40132706. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here. Does this happen with any image?

Try changing the Select Subject mode from Photoshop > Settings > Image Processing > Select Subject to Cloud & Selection process to Stable.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

@Sameer K Switching to Cloud for image processing does work, it finds the subject now, thanks!

But I would prefer it to process locally. See systeminfo in the attachment.
