I have searched here and found a few ideas from a while ago on how to get this working. But, so far none have worked. Does anyone have a working solution on how to get the Canon Professional Print & Layout Plug-In software installed and working with PS 27 please.

many thanks

    Hi Neil,

Thank you for raising this. I was able to get Canon Professional Print & Layout working with Photoshop 2026 (v27) by manually placing the Canon plug-ins into the Photoshop Plug-ins folder.

    Here’s what worked:

    • Copy the two Canon plug-ins from:

Applications > Canon Utilities > Professional Print & Layout > Install Files > PSPlugin

    • Paste them into:

    Applications > Adobe Photoshop 2026 > Plug-ins

    • Restart Photoshop

After the restart, the Canon plug-in appeared correctly in the menu.

If the plug-ins still do not load (macOS security can block them), try this:

    • Close Photoshop

    • Open Terminal

Run the following command for the first plug-in:

    “sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Adobe\ Photoshop\ 2026/Plug-ins/CNPPLPI01.plugin”

The terminal will prompt you to enter your Mac User password. Then, copy & paste for the second plug-in and enter password again:

    “sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Adobe\ Photoshop\ 2026/Plug-ins/CNPPLPI02.plugin”

This removes the macOS quarantine flag and allows Photoshop to load the plug-ins properly.

After running both commands, relaunch Photoshop and check again.

    Hope this helps!

@Anshul_Saini thanks for checking that out, great that you could get it working, it’s a very useful add on to MacOS for Photoshopo users, given the issues in the print drivers
