Photoshop CC 2017.01 liquify filter problems

Hi,

if i want to use the liquify filter in photoshop the new windows opens and the only thing i can do is zooming and scrolling. There's only the "adobe grab hand" mouse symbol and whatever tool i select on the left side nothing happens. There is still the "hand" symbol

I have tried all tipps und tricks found on google. Switch on/off openGL and graphic card support (options>performance>hardware blabla).

Any ideas?

Hi, I'm having several problems too with both PS and CR.

I've followed tutorials and also tried to remove and reinstall programs and drivers several times but still the "hand tool" issue appears after few time!

I use OS X and PS to work so I'm rather disappointed by all those issues.
Moreover I find unacceptable that "Pro" app from Adobe giving problems with such important tools hasn't being fixed after several weeks.

I agree. I'm having an issue where liquefy simply freezes once I zoom into 50%+ and get 2/3 up the image. It's frozen four times now and I can't even back out of liquefy to try a different solution.

3 hours for a single image edit is unacceptable.

I'm having the same problem with the liquify filter not even coming up... I press Ctrl + shift + x and literally nothing happens. Also, there is no liquify filter under the filter menu in the new 2017 update of Photoshop CC. Help!

Just go to the bottom of the properties column and disable "Show Backdrop" checkbox!

Are you sure the liquify Hand tool is not selected and the keyboard space bar is not stuck?

Yes, i am sure that the space button is ok and the correct tool is selected.

I have tested other filters today like 'Adaptive Wide Angle…' and there is the same problem. Only the 'Hand' tool is selected and it is not possible to select another tool.

Bt before the last update of photoshop cc there was no problem. And i didn't change anything on my hardware/software.

Seems to be a real bug inside photoshop update.

And hey adobe i have a real project now where this feature is really needed. If there is no solution the next days we will get a real problem together.
