Photoshop crashes everytime I use Selection Brush Tool and click “Remove” in the bar

Running on RTX 5070Ti with latest Studio Drivers and latest 2026 Photoshop as of July 2026, and Photoshop crashes everytime I use Selection Brush Tool and click “Remove” in the bar. When only using the Remove Tool no issues, but interestingly the Brush Tool creates better results most of the time. Hoping for a fix soon.

    Hi @Amdir

Apologies for the delayed response. I have moved your reply from the original thread to a new post, as the issue you are experiencing is different from the one being discussed there.

To help us investigate your issue, could you please provide a few more details?

    • Are you still experiencing the issue in Photoshop 27.10?
    • Is the issue specific to a particular file?
    • If it occurs with multiple files, where are those files saved (local drive, external drive, cloud storage, network location, etc.)?

You can also try resetting Photoshop preferences after creating a backup of your current preferences and settings, and let us know if that makes any difference. Steps are shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/get-started/settings-and-preferences/reset-preferences.html#:~:text=Manually%20reset%20preferences
