I am having this issue currently and I noticed when I am working in photoshop my laptop keeps crashing. I have a  Intel(R) Arc(TM) 140T GPU (16GB) display driver on Windows 11Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8039). I also already have Photoshop v27.4 installed. Is there a fix for this it is driving me crazy.

    Hi @naudiat64139097

Sorry for the delayed response. I’m hopeful that the issue has been resolved by now. If not, I would highly recommend following the steps shared earlier by @Sameer K

I also reviewed your system report and noticed that while the Intel drivers were updated in January, the NVIDIA drivers haven’t been updated since July. Additionally, Photoshop version 27.5 has been released. I recommend updating both your graphics drivers and the application, then trying again to see if the crashes persist.

Steps to update Graphic Drivers are shared here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/update-graphics-driver.html

Please let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

It’s not actually. It crashed again the other day and then ran some bios update afterwards. It’s definitely when I am using the generative items it crashes. I already have the updated version of photoshop.

Hey, @naudiat64139097. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. I’ve moved your comment away from the original post. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

    Try these steps:

1 - Please follow the steps here to identify and update the GPU Drivers for the device you're working on, and troubleshoot any underlying issues with the Graphics processor on your machine:

2 -After you update the GPU drivers, try the steps below and check how it goes.

Please make sure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup.

    • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
    • You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe
    • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2026 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2026. old), You can restore these preferences later if needed. (https://adobe.ly/4860qM9)
    • Restart the computer.

These changes will provide a fresh start to Photoshop, much like a new installation.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

Hi. I don’t have a specific document at the moment. It just kept doing this every now and then and I can’t remember what document I was in. I did follow the other steps I saw in the thread as a temp fix. Should I try this what you are saying as well?
