Photoshop doesn’t open with Macbook Pro 2019

Photoshop 2025 (version 26.11.1) will not open on my Macbook Pro 2019 with Intel UHD Graphics 630 and 16GB RAM on MacOS Tahoe 26.1.

I tried with PS 2021 and same problem.
On opening I get about 1 second flash of Photoshop opening credits and then crashes.

Any advice appreciated

Click on your desktop and in the Go menu click Go to Folder, then paste

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC

and click enter/return.

That should take you to the Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC

that I mentioned earlier.

Following those instructions Jeff revealed a set of On1 plugins. Moving them to the bin has resolved the conflict. Hooray!!!
A big big thank you for sticking with troubleshooting this problem

There are two main locations to look for third party plugins:

Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2026/Plug-ins

and

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC

I’ll check this in a couple days as away for weekend. Very much appreciate
your interest and advice

Have used both of those in Finder Search but no results. When I look in Plugins/Generator there are no additional files visible

After you run Photoshop by clicking the Shift key and quit Photoshop are you then able to start Photoshop without holding down the Shift key?

If you can get it to run without holding the Shift key can you post the contents of Help>System Info here on the forum?

Jeff, Photoshop is still crashing unless I hold the SHIFT key down. The error report is below as attachment for anyone who can read and make sense of this.  It looks like it is still reading ON1 plugins although I have deleted them. I will follow Ged Traynor's advice about deleting history. I am in Australia so with different time zones there is sometimes a delay with me replying and actioning suggestions.

Do you have any third party plugins installed?

I previously had ON1 plugins but had removed them. It did work when I used
SHIFT to skip past on opening.
Thx for your help

Maybe you have a faulty plugin/filter.

Try holding down the Shift while lauching either Photoshop version to skip loading any third party plugins.

Even if your sure you don't have any third party plugins a couple of Adobe plugins are affected as well, so it won't hurt to try.

I followed your advice with holding SHIFT on opening and Photoshop opens fully! A faulty plugin I guess?

The only 2019 MacBook Pro that supports Tahoe is the 16-inch model and that has a Radeon Pro card as well, not just the Intel graphics. Is this the model you have? I am using that computer for work and its operating properly with both Photoshop 26 and 27 on Tahoe (and it worked fine on Sequoia and Sonoma as well.)

Thanks for response. I do have the 16” version but without a Radeon card

There was no version of that model without the Radeon.

@Neville5E2E try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset
