Hi @trofey_9522,

Thanks for sharing the details so far, that definitely helps. To narrow this down, could you please share a few more specifics?

  • Exact Photoshop and Windows versions
  • Screenshot of the error you are getting.
  • Does Photoshop launch after renaming the Photoshop preferences folder? Steps are shared here: https://adobe.ly/4bYvlyy
  • Any recent Windows updates or GPU driver updates around the time this started?

This info will help us determine whether it’s an ICC profile, GPU, or display driver issue and suggest the right next steps.

Regards,

Srishti

See the link that @Srishti Bali14648992 has posted. There you'll find a step-by-step instruction how to reset Photoshop's preferences manually. Or follow the steps below:

  1. Quit Photoshop (only if Photoshop is running)
  2. Navigate to the preferences folder of Photoshop.
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note: This folder is hidden by default. To access files in the hidden user Library folder see the appropriate links below.
MacOS: How to access hidden user library files.
Windows: Show hidden files and folders in Windows

  3. Move the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to a safe place on your drive for a back-up of your settings. Then delete this folder.

  4. Open Photoshop.

Photoshop creates automatically the appropriate settings folder with the default values.

What's the exact error message? Please post the message word-by-word.

If you like to post a screenshot do not use file attachments as many people here will not download them. Also there's a issue with the forum software to view the content of an attachment directly.

Instead, use the "Insert Photos" icon and include your screen capture in your message.
