Photoshop dysfunction

Hi,

Every new version of Photoshop seems to add new problems!

 

On PC, I have the latest version 26.2.0 of Adobe CC.

 

1. The Remove tool still not working (I get the message : "Impossible to use the tool, please restart 

Photosop" . I restart Photoshop, still it doesn't work.

I tried the method:

Preferences > Image Processing...
 Choose "More Stable" for Remove Tool Processing.

Again, it doesn't fix it.

 

2. Tool Tips when hovering over icons, also not working (even when its ticked in Preferences).

 

3. The Adjustments Toolbar doesn't show up upon opening Photoshop; 

I have to re-initialize my working space everytime, to be able to view the toolbar.

 

Already tried to solve those with a Photoshop agent, no solutions reached.

 

Is it acceptable to have persisting Major errors and glitches in a software we pay for?

 

My message to Photoshop : Less  updates, Better Functioning versions !

Get the basics working please !

Thanks @SpencerElliot . All these points have been checked.

Adobe support have been contacted; they couldnt figure it out.

They even scheduled a call, which never happened...

So it seems we are paying for a dysfunctional software with a dysfunctional customer service? 

Sounds great.

Both Stephen and AxelMatt have asked for your system info, which you have not yet provided.

Help menu > System Info > Copy, then paste the entire contents into a Reply window in this thread.

    Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

     

    Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.

    Each new version of Photoshop demands higher minimum specs, offloading more work to the GPU. Software vendors are constantly leveraging the capabilities of hardware. Perhaps future versions will require a dedicated AI chip, reducing the GPU's workload for certain tasks. 

     

    You can share your system specs (Help > System Info) in an attached text file if you'd like feedback from anybody with an interest in commenting.

    @Stephen Marsh  It's amazing having great AI tools. But without losing the basics of a Software !

    The shift from CPU to GPU was there before AI.

    @JFSylla I'm not experiencing the issues you described above, with Photoshop version 26.2, have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

    Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset

    Hi @Ged_Traynor , many thanks for your reply.

    In manually resetting steps,  Step 3 is : "Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop"

    By Drag, they mean Remove, or Copy the file to the Desktop (wouldn't be nice to have a clear procedure :)?)

    I have to admit that the description is a bit unclear.
    What this means is, that you copy the entire folder to a safe place on your hard drive and thus save the settings of the Photoshop preferences.
    After this has been done, delete the Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder. 

    On the next start this folder will be generated again and Photoshop starts with the default settings.
