Photoshop Edits Disappear when Using ‘Send to Lightroom’ iPad OS

Hi all,

Has anyone experienced the total loss of their Photoshop work when moving between Lightroom and Photoshop on the iPad? Here's what happened:

1. Initial adjustments in LR (State 1)

2. Use "Edit in PS" option to transition to Photoshop

3. Extensive edits/touchups in Photoshop (State 2)

4. Use "Send to LR" button to attempt to transition back to LR

Result: Photo is completely in State 1 in LR, and the document with the edits is completely gone from photoshop. If I hit "Edit in PS" again it creates an entirely new psd, which (again) disappears if I send back to LR. I cannot find the PSD with my edits in my files or photoshop history, and none of the photoshop edits are reflected in the LR document history.

Have I lost all my work or is there some way to recover it?

Photoshop Version 7.2.2 (20251208.695)
iPad OS Version 26.1

Hi @Hartandshoul! Thank you for reaching out! I truly understand how frustrating this situation must be for you. Could you please let me know if this has happened just once or if it has occurred multiple times? When did you first notice this issue? It would also be really helpful if you could share a sample document with me. You can use Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any other public file-sharing platform.

Thanks a lot!

Noel
