Photoshop Glitch where edges of layers disappear

Since updating to the new version of photoshop, I am having an issue where edges of layers in photoshop abruptly disappear. For example, the top 10px of my text layer will disappear. Or the left 10px of my image layer is gone. If I try to paint/edit the missing portion, I can clone from it, and it may temporarily reappear, then disappear again. This is particularly problematic when I save an animated gif, and the missing portion appears in some frames and not in others, creating a flashing effect that draws attention to the glitch. (Yes, the problem persists when I save a jpg or other file from my PSD, so it's not just a screen/display problem.)

Photoshop version - 20.0.0 release, CC 19.1.6

macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Example: The curved edge of this image layer is missing.

I just experienced this issue with a Mac 5.1 - 10.13.6 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 - PS 20.0.1

Turning on Preferences > Performance > Legacy Compositing  solved it for me.

I believe the newer graphics "engine" in Photoshop 20.0.1 is allergic to Nvidia cards, possibly.

I'm having the same issue. At first, I thought it was just when the layered images were near the edge of the canvas, but that's not the case. It also affects non-rasterized text on layers.

I have found that I can nudge the layer a back and forth and it fixes the problem, as long as I don't make any more edits and double check all layers before saving.

Very odd glitch.

That solved it for me as well, thanks! I'm using the same graphics card.
