Photoshop hangs when use "Flick Panning" with an Intuos tablet

  • I am using Windows 11 (just reinstalled and upgraded as of today).
  • The version I have installed is Photoshop 25.1, however, it was happening previously with earlier versions.
  • It freezes when I use the "Enable Flick Panning" option with the Hand tool.
  • I am using a Wacom Intuos Pro PTH-660 tablet with the latest updated driver.
  • This happens with both Nvidia and AMD cards (Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 and AMD 6600RX).
  • I have the "Windows Ink" option enabled so I don't lose the pressure functionality.
  • It is not an option to disable "Windows Ink" and use the PSUserConfig.txt file because it adds a rather awkward delay in use (and also does not completely prevent it from not freezing).
  • Flick panning eases the workflow, so disabling that option would solve the problem but makes the experience of using Photoshop much more tedious. The same thing happens when disabling graphics acceleration.
  • Point out that this does not happen when using a mouse instead of the graphics tablet.

Attached is a video of the problem.

Update: tested with a Xencelabs tablet with the same result.

Update: tested with a different configuration: Intuos PTH-451 and a Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen2 computer (nVidia graphics card, Intel i7, Windows 11 updated as of today and Photoshop 25.1). The result is the same, it hangs in the same way.
