Photoshop is running very slowly after the latest update. I've already cleared the cache and reset preferences, but the problem persists. What else should I try?

Hi everyone,

After installing the latest Photoshop update, the application has become extremely slow. Opening PSD files, switching layers, using the Brush tool, applying filters, and saving files all take much longer than before.

I've already tried:

  • Resetting Photoshop preferences
  • Clearing the cache
  • Updating GPU drivers
  • Enabling GPU acceleration
  • Increasing RAM allocation
  • Disabling plugins

Unfortunately, nothing has improved. My PC meets the recommended system requirements, and other Adobe apps work normally.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a known fix or workaround?

For reference, I also document software troubleshooting on Workervoice.in.
