Hi,

After updating photoshop I have the options "Save a copy" (Alt + Ctrl + s) or export/Export as (Alt + Shift + Ctrl + W) for exporting to JPG. When exporting the same image using both methods with best quality I noticed a difference in image file size.

Question is, What causes the differenece in file size?

Regards,

Bert

Save a copy will include all metadata, while Export will include only Copyright and contact info at the most.

It also gives you the option not to embed the color profile. (always check Embed profile).

So if the Save a copy version is larger, metadata might explain the difference in file size.
