Photoshop lock up. I trashed it. Now I cannot seem to dowload a new copy and install it

cannot seem to download a new copy and install it

If you are having problems, and feel that things might have got messed up, then you might find the Cleaner Tool is a good option. It will get you back to a ‘before you started’ state of affairs, and give you the best chance of a good installation. I have never used it, but if I had to I would go in and rescue my presets. .abr brush files, .pst workspaces etc. As it happens I already have those files in a remote non-Adobe location.

M3 Ultra running Tahoe 26.5.2. Had the latest version of PS adobe. Do not recall the number.

I finally got a new copy of PS to almost load then a spinning beach ball appeared which never resolved whatever problem PS was having fully installing.

I have now restarted, and plan to give it another try.

I have PS. I do not know if I still have the problem that started all of this.

“Blue Rectangle” appears form time to time and many options stopped working

Same problem exists. Nothing available unless I have an image open. Cannot create a new fill layer or do anything else without an image open. That is not the way things work previously.

Any ideas?
