Photoshop match color (could not complete your request because of a program error color match)

What are the images you want to match? 

In my opinion destructive Adjustments like Match Color are best avoided, would using nondestructive Adjustment Layers be an option? 

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
