Photoshop - Object Selection Tool - CRASH!

Question

Everytime I click on the object selection tool, Photoshop crashes

EVERYTIME! I have lost the edit on numerous photos - as I edit multiple photos simultaneously - I just lost 3 hours of work! We need better progammers to fix the bugs before the software is released and the automatic updates where all of the settings are reset to to someone else's default settings really causes delay in workflow too!! Quit ruining our productivity!
