Photoshop has problem open DNG files sometimes however it is possible to open it in Camera Raw. What with it? Why it is happened?

Adobe does not support opening or saving to a server or external drive. While it may work sometimes, you risk damaged files, denied access, or slow performance. One of the error messages they list is the one you are getting.

"Recommended workflow

"Technical Support strongly recommends working in Photoshop directly on the local hard disk. To prevent data loss, save files to your hard disk first. Then transfer them to the network or removable drive in the Finder or in Windows Explorer. To retrieve files, copy them in the Finder or in Windows Explorer from the network or removable drive to your hard disk. You can then open the files in Photoshop. This workflow avoids problems that occur when network system setups or removable media device drivers are incompatible with the operating system or Photoshop."

I send the requested information:

Mac OS: Tahoe, Version 26.1

Size: 87 886 848 bytes (87,9 MB on disk)

File is saved on the local server.

DNG file from Leica - L1020435.DNG

For comparison - the next file L1020436.DNG is working well.

The DNG file cannot be opened directly by Adobe Photoshop or through Adobe Bridge 2026. However, if I choose to open it in the Camera Raw Module by Adobe Bridge, it will be opened there and I can save the photo as a TIFF on the same server that I am able

to open by Adobe Photoshop later.

This problem only occurs with some photos in DNG. But most of the time everything works fine.

It is not also any time issue because the problem with file access still persists.
