Photoshop removing favorited fonts and deleting color palettes when closing the program

Question

As the title suggests, any time I close photoshop all of my favorited fonts disappear and any color palette I've made within the last two weeks are suddenly gone. It happens every time I close the app without fail, any reason why this would be happening?

Hi there,

We're sorry for the trouble, Which Photoshop version do have installed? Are you seeing this issue after updating to 26.0 version? Looks like there's something is wrong with Photoshop preferences which is keeps switching back to defaults. We will try and fix it by resetting it one more time manually and see if that helps.

Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] SettingsRename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2026 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2026.old)This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.
