hey guys, from this morning. i am having a removal tool issue. some times it's working, but mostly not. crashing the app after i canccel or it's automatic after a long wait. What to do?

Correct answer Radoan A

As you've said, there are no issues for now. You can update Photoshop to v26.10, which is available via the Creative Cloud desktop app.

I can understand why you won't update. macOS 15.6 is available, and later iterations of macOS are relatively better and more stable.

Thanks!

Hi @Radoan A

Sorry about the crashing. I understand how frustrating it could be. Could you provide a few more details so we can better understand what’s happening? For example:

  • Which version of Photoshop you’re using?

  • Version of macOS

  • The type/size of file you’re working on?

  • Are you getting any error as well?

This info will help us narrow down whether it’s a known issue or something specific to your setup.

Regards,

Srishti

Thanks for the details. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does this happen with a specific document after you've created a structure of layers? Do you have any clipped layers?

In this case, you can begin by resetting the Remove tool itself. Right-click on the Remove Tool icon in the Toolbar menu and select Reset Tool.

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Thanks!
