Question

Photoshop setting default save location?

I'm setting up a networked Windows XP computer with Photoshop CS5 but I can't seem to find a way to set a default location for files to be saved. I would like to have it so that when a user goes to "save as" it directs the user to a specific folder and not just the general C: drive. Does anyone know how I can do this ? I can't seem to find the option in Photoshop. Thanks.

    It's an OS thing.

And be aware you may have problems if the destination is on a network drive.

Photoshop is a standalone on this system and all network drives are mapped on the startup. I don't see how that would effect there being a way to set a network drive as a default save location or setting any drive as a save location. Still thanks for throwing out some ideas. Anyone else have any suggestions ?

You cannot modify the default save location but you can try modifying the places bar so that you can have easy access to the folders that you need:
