Photoshop size bug

Image size changes after save.
It happens when there are images (not smart objects) that are partially outside the image.
Example: 1. image cropped to 1920x1080. 2. Double checked the image size. 3. Save the file. 4. The image resolution is lowered to 939x520.
It looks like a software glitch that occured in various psd files already.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.1.0 20251117.r.17 2758080 arm64 (final, Release)

Hi @Frank39046658yoai, welcome to the community!
Could you share a bit more about what’s happening? How are you exporting the image? If possible, please include a screenshot of your export settings or the image size panel, along with a sample image so we can take a closer look.
When Photoshop image dimensions shrink on export, it’s often because the export method (like Save for Web or Export As) optimizes for screen use, ignores PPI for web, or there are fractional pixels from cropping.
Thanks a lot!
Alek

I'd love to know what is happening here as well.  The aspect ratio of the smaller image size is close but not the same.  @Frank39046658yoai  It would be interesting to see a screen shot of the entire workspace with the layer panel showing.  Are there transparent pixels?  You mention it happening with multiple image files, so is there any correlation between the problem documents?

Unfortunately I can't share the corporate files.
Basically it's a Photoshop project with multiple 1920x1080 artworks. Then artworks are center-aligned together (overlap) in order to use them later on in After Effects as 1920x1080 file.
Previously it always worked as it should. Now when aligned the image size is not 1920x1080 but random higer resolution. Eg. 3940x1693. After this when you try to resize to 2513x1080 and then crop to 1920x1080 it seems fine and dandy. You end up with 1920x1080 as desired you hit save and now the image size is 1225x690.
No transparent pixels. Text, raster layers, linked images.
Regular Save As method.

Btw, since there's no option to edit in a post - This is: 'report bug' not 'discussion'
