Photoshop start up steals application focus five times

When I'm a busy bee working and need photoshop, I click the photoshop icon on the task bar to launch photoshop.

Now as we all know, photoshop does not start fast. I usually just start it and continue working on other windows until it's started up.

The problem is, that in the new photoshop, the app captures the window focus (sorry don't know the right term) five times in the start up phase, even if you try to switch back to other applications, the photoshop really want's you to look at it even when it's not ready to be used.

I know this sounds silly, but every second counts and usually you are in a middle of a good workflow and that annoys me every single time.

Running latest photoshop on Windows 10 Pro.

On startup Photoshop takes over focus of windows several times in a row, making it impossible to perform any other function while it's starting up.  It takes awhile to startup so it's really annoying that you can't browse while waiting as it will repeatedly take over focus for apparently no good reason. If minimized it should behave like other windows programs and not try to gain focus again- even if fully loaded.

How exactly do you define "working" at Adobe? Because it's been well over half a year for a bug where I believe every intern could fix.

You are getting paid good money every month, so fix your stupid bugs!

    Your terminology is OK.

    What version of Photoshop?

If CC, do you have Preferences set to show Recent Files on start up?

Photoshop takes much longer to open from a cold start, so to speak, and if closed and opened again, it opens more quickly.  Could you add Photoshop to your start up folder so it opens with Windows?  Then close it so the next open is a warm start?

Do you have additional fonts installed?

Do you use a separate drive for scratch space, and if yes, is that drive in good condition?

I have only glanced at this page, and noticed it suggests setting Cache levels to 1.  That is a bad idea. so read carefully, and maybe do your own searching.
