Photoshop version v 26.11 was working fine until 1 week ago, when it suddenly wouldn't open, so I uninstalled (select keep pref and delete old versions(none were installed) ) and then I get this issie :

I tried everything I found online but nothing works

AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool didn't solve the problem

biggest issue is that I am unable to manually delete the Photoshop folder even in safe mode

the only version that I was able to finally install was v 25.12.4

please help asap

ps. I'm on windows 11

Right-click the Photoshop icon in the start menu, and "run as administrator". It should normally only be necessary to do this once.

If you're still stuck, it could be that your Windows user account is corrupted. In that case you might try to create a new account. See Microsoft documentation for this.

Hey, @norbertv88562557. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Error 146 is pretty simple to handle. You can click on View Error Log and find the directory/location where Creative Cloud is having trouble moving files into and out of. You can empty that location, or delete the whole folder and Retry.

Also, sometimes, the antivirus programs can restrict Creative Cloud's operations, so temporarily disabling any such programs can help too.

Here is the detailed content around the Error 146: https://adobe.ly/4odcGCM;

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
