Question

Photoshop v25 (desktop) is not showing as update from v24 in CC panel

I have a current Creative Cloud subscription and have not been able to update Photoshop (desktop) past v24.4.0.

I've tried signing out and back in and various other solutions I have seen on this forum but nothing works...it still does not show as an available update.

I have Photoshop (Beta) installed and that will update...it is currently up to v25.2

I am looking forward to solving this issue asap

Have you tried removing the app(s) and reinstalling?

You might even need to use the Cleaner tool if things are in a mess.

AFAIK, it is unlikely to be a problem with your system, but could conceivably be related to Windows updates.  Are you up to date in that respect?  Note this is my gut talking (which is why it is so loud — it's a big gut), so we'll try and tag one of the Adobe employees if you are still stuck.  One thing is for sure — if you are paying for a full CC subscription, you want it to be working properly.

thanks for your help...I thought I had tried removing Photoshop via the Control Panel but must not have...I did this just now and installed Photoshop via the CC app and have now got v25.0.0

I forgot to export some styles and had to reinstall some plugins and redo my preferences...even though I ticked the box to keep preferences etc.

Ah well...hopefully updates will now work...thanks again
