Photoshop V26.1 JPEG permissions issue

Question

There seems to be some sort of permissions issue with saving Jpg files. Once you save a jpg, you can not overwrite the previouse version. It will also not let you move the file into another folder. If there is a fix for this please let us know.

Hey, @Shawn388296411n74. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. I've checked the account you've used for Community & you have a team/enterprise subscription.

Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Where are the JPEGs stored: internal, external, or a network drive? Has this started to happen since a recent update for Photoshop? Is your machine managed by a centralized IT team?

If the location for the original files & the save destination is on a network drive, the scope of troubleshooting becomes limited. You'll have to check in with the IT team to troubleshoot user permissions. Head here to learn more: https://adobe.ly/4gaodyd
