This is the result from Google’s Ai:

This error indicates Adobe Photoshop 2026 is crashing due to a fault in ucrtbase.dll (Universal C Runtime), often caused by corrupted system files, outdated graphics drivers, or corrupted Photoshop preferences. Key fixes include running Windows SFC/DISM scans, updating GPU drivers, resetting Photoshop preferences, or re-installing via Creative Cloud.

    Recommended Troubleshooting Steps:

    • Run System File Checker (SFC) and DISM: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run sfc /scannow, followed by dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to repair ucrtbase.dll.
    • Update Graphics Drivers: Visit your GPU manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to install the latest drivers, as GPU drivers frequently cause ucrtbase.dll issues.
    • Reset Photoshop Preferences: Manually delete or rename the "Adobe Photoshop 2026 Settings" folder in %appdata%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2026\.
    • Check Windows Updates: Ensure Windows is fully updated to patch the Universal C Runtime.
    • If these do not work, try disabling third-party plugins by renaming the Plugins folder, as they can cause this issue.

Thank you for the response. I followed the instructions in your reply. I’m sorry to say that it did not work. I still get the same error message.

The ucrtbase.dll is a part Microsoft Visual C++ runtime. Try these steps to manually recreate the MSVC++ Libraries:

    •  In the Creative Cloud app, press CTRL + ALT + T (Win) to launch Creative Cloud Troubleshooter & select 'Close Creative Cloud and related processes' > click on Go.
    • Go to 'Add or Remove programs' in Windows search & find all the installations of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (all years).

    • Uninstall them completely. Even if there is an option to repair them, please uninstall all the existing MSVC++ packages.
    • Download a fresh package of installers for MSVC++ from this link:
Latest Supported Visual C++ Redistributable Downloads | Microsoft Learn
    • Right-click the downloaded files and select Extract All.
    • Reinstall all packages (32-bit & 64-bit) one by one & then restart the computer once.
