Photoshop won't open - says its damaged

This doesn’t happen every time, but has happened several times over the past few months on my laptop and desktop (both Macs). When opening PS, I get an error that says PS is damaged. I have to install PS again which erases everything I had saved in PS (workspaces, plugin credentials, tools properties, etc). Super frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this?

PS and MacOS are both the latest versions. I did change my settings to Full Disk access for PS. Hopefully this was the issue. Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated.

After changing my settings to all full disk access for PS, I have not had the issue again. It’s curious that this would all of the sudden happen though. Maybe a change to PS was the culprit. As for versions. PS (27.8.0) and iOS (26.5.2).

I can’t say that I have any personal experience with this issue. That said, this error usually means the app's installation files are corrupted or blocked by your operating system’s permissions.

Which version of PS and which macOS?
