Photoshop won't recognize my scanner

Photoshop version 26.4.0 doesn't recognize my scanner.  Adobe Acrobat does. In fact Photoshop on my laptop does recognize my scanner while my desktop Photoshop won't.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer/scanner software and drivers with no luck.
Epson Workforce Pro WF-3820 multifunction printer. Windows 11

Anyone have a suggestion?

I finally uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it and it now works.

Hi @johnw107, Welcome to the Photoshop forums! I would recommend checking out this article about connecting to a scanner through Photoshop: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/acquiring-images-cameras-scanners.html

If your issue still persists on your particular computer, I would recommend making sure your Windows 11 is fully updated, and try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually. Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html.

Hope this helps! ^CH
